AKC
February 15, 2007 11:31 am- Agility Trials (All Breeds)
- Earthdog Trials (Small Terriers and Dachshunds)
- Herding Tests and Trials ( Herding Breeds, Rottweilers and Samoyeds)
- Hunt Tests (Most Sporting Breeds and Standard Poodles)
- Junior Showmanship (All Breeds)
- Lure Coursing (Sighthounds)
- Obedience Trials (All Breeds)
- Rally Trials (All Breeds)
- Tracking Tests (All Breeds)
Now I’m setting my sites on my AKC future.
I’m most interested in Agility, Herding, Obedience and Tracking. Dad’s looking into the Obedience trials first. He found a local club that does training so I can earn my Companion Dog title. If you would like to look at the Obedience Regulations, AKC has it on their website.
The Agility Regulations is also on AKC’s site.
The Tracking Regulations is also on AKC’s site.
Along with the Herding Regulations, AKC included the Herding Test and Trial Procedural Manual.

Favorites
10:34 amHere is a list of my all time favorites!
I’ll always be updating this list as I find more toys/products that completely entertain/amaze/envelope me.
- Planet Dog - Orbee-Tuff - Diamond Plate Ball: Paws down, this has become my favorite ball. It still smells good, it bounces VERY well, its rubber so it doesn’t hurt the walls or even the glass door. I always bring this toy to dad while he’s sitting on the couch. He’s getting pretty good at throwing it for me.
- Tuffie’s - Tuffzilla (Tuff Scale): I loved having a toy that was my size. I would growl at it, throw it around the room, tackle it, chew on it… Oh how I miss my Tuffzilla. He just wasn’t strong enough. Dad kept stitching him up, and I kept ripping him apart. Finally dad gave up and threw it away. Fun toy, just didn’t last long enough.
- Pooch Pleasers Bone Sheepskin Dog Toy with Squeaker: Now I know what your thinking… A big strong masculine dog like me shouldn’t be playing with a soft cuddly sheepskin bone… Well I don’t care! I loved it. In the end I ripped the stuffing out everywhere, but it lasted for months. Better than most of those stuffed toys. I need another soft toy to cuddle with…
- Roma Rubber Grooming Mitt: Simply put there is no better way to groom a Rottweiler, or any short haired animal.
- Natural Balance Dog Food Rolls Lamb Formula: Dad has consistently used these as training treats because I’ll do ANYTHING for them. No joke.
- JW Pet Invincible Chains Dog Toy Triple Link: I LOVE playing tug-a-war with Dad! Of course he’s stronger, but he has thumbs! I’d love to see him play with his teeth like I have to! Bring it on! But seriously these things are strong, if they can handle 125 lbs of me yankin’ on em they’ll be good for you.
- Jolly Ball Horse Toy: Well these balls only last about 1-2 days and the handle gets shredded. Dad just keeps cutting the handle back with some big shears until the handles are gone. Even without a handle its still a fun toy. Dad throws it up in the air and try to catch it. I can easily collapse the ball enough to bite it, so who need a handle…
- Triple Crown Everlasting Treat Ball: Amazing! Dad doesn’t use the end caps very often. He just stuffs some of my normal treats in the middle. It’s a great jaw workout, I basically crush the toy to break the treats up inside so they will fall out. The ball is still in 100% perfect condition and I use it every day!
- Little Giant - Mini Feeder w/ custom wall mount: This has been so helpful! I don’t have to bend over to eat and drink anymore!

Wish Lists
January 24, 2007 12:56 pmHere you will find my ever changing wish lists. If you would like me to review one of these items, feel free to send it over.
Any of the AussieDog products would be amazing! But this would work great for tetherball. Imagine the fun that could be had with a Carnivore toy!

About
December 18, 2006 9:45 pmTanker was born November 24, 2005 in California. Dad and Mom adopted him in August 2006 from the Monterey County SPCA. Tanker was very sick when he came home, possibly from the shock of being neutered combined with kennel cough. Dad and Mom took care of him until he was better.
Dad took Tanker to obedience classes at the SPCA. Tanker learned to behave in public, even though it’s sometimes difficult to be good. Dad took him back for even more lessons and Tanker became a Canine Good Citizen.
Many people are surprised by Tanker’s calm and gentle temperament. Tanker volunteer’s with the SPCA’s Hug-A-Pet program as a Therapy Dog. He visits the residents of the Park Lane retirement home every week. Tanker is now 125 pounds and full of puppy energy. Dad is a student and stay-at-home dad, so he and Tanker have lots of adventures together. Mom has to work, but loves to spoil Tanker rotten.
Tanker enjoys food and toys of all kinds. He reviews the products he tests honestly and fairly. Tanker hopes that his blog will be useful to other Rottweilers and large breed dogs. If you would like to send Tanker toys to test, please contact him.
