First Impression: Well this toy is very durable and challenging. It has 4 little “fingers” that block the treat opening. So treats don’t fall out as easily as they do from Kongs. Problem for me is I’ve got a HUGE tongue, so even the large has too small of an opening for me. I have problems getting any treats out at all, much less cleaning it out. Dad cut the fingers back some, but doesn’t want to cut them back further yet.
Conclusion: Strong and durable. It will prove more challenging than a Kong. Just make sure you can fit your tongue in there! 3 out of 4 paws because my version of large differs from theirs.

First Impression: This is just like one of my old Nylabones, except this one tastes like bacon! Dad left my old nasty one out and gave me this new one. Of course I left the old nasty one alone, and completly concentrated my chewing powers on the new one. The old one was quickly thrown away where all my old toys go to die…
Conclusion: Nylabone has a strong rep around the dog park, not much more needs to be said. They last a LONG time. I personally like rubber toys more, but its nice to sharpen my teeth on a good bone before I enjoy dinner.

First Impression: Man it was time for a new Nylabone. Mom and Dad bought me my first two almost 5 months ago! They were looking a little nasty, but I still loved them. The kind folks over at Nylabone sent me a gift box and I got to try out this new monster of a chew bone. Now it is shaped a little weird, but I like it none the less. Every time Mom and Dad eat lunch or dinner I lay down and chew on a Nylabone. It keeps me entertained while they eat that amazing smelling human food… I just close my eyes and pretend.
Conclusion: Great chew bone! Lasts a very long time. Not sure what could be improved.

First Impression: Well I chewed on it for a few minutes when Dad first gave it to me. I was just being nice though. This tire is HARD, just like my other Nylabones. However it’s just not a shape that appealing to me. After five minutes of play, I haven’t touched the toy in days.
Conclusion: If for some reason you like to chew on an extremely hard circle, this toy is perfect for you. Personally, it just wasn’t for me. 2 out of 4 paws because yes it is indestructible, but I’ll never use it

First Impression: Nylabone makes great bones, but this isn’t one of them. This bone has interlocking pieces, so the bone bends and twists slightly when I shake it or chew on it. The bone is made of durable nylon, but it isn’t flavored. So when given the option of chewing on a three month old liver flavored Souper bone and a new Puzzlebone, I chose the Souper bone.
Conclusion: This product is built very well and withstands my strong teeth. But it’s kinda boring.

First Impression: I liked my Rawhide Bone, but it left a white gummy mess on the carpet and my arms. Rawhides are not a good inside toy for Rottweilers.

Rawhide is a good example of a potentially dangerous natural dog treat. Rawhide is simply the skin of a cow. Natural rawhide tastes similar to beef, that is why it is so pleasing to dogs. But it can also be hazardous for dogs, as well. Some of the problems with giving your dog a rawhide dog bone include:
- There is a choking hazard associated with rawhide. If pieces of rawhide are swallowed whole or even in big chunks, they can get stuck in your dog’s throat.
- Pieces of hard rawhide can actually scrape a dog’s throat and esophagus on the way down to his stomach.
- Rawhide can create a physical obstruction inside the intestinal track. Picture this: When a dog chews rawhide, it becomes wet and gummy. Now, imagine swallowing wads and wads of chewing gum. See the similarity? Not good.
- Rawhide is not regulated in many countries. In some these countries, arsenic-based products are used as a preservative in rawhides. Yep, you read it correctly—arsenic. That equates to giving your dog poison. 0 out of 4 Paws because your puppy’s health is not worth risking.

First Impression: I chew on my giant Nylabones for months. I chew, the flavor gets released, and then I lick the bone. Dad makes me lay down when Dad and Mom eat dinner and the Nylabones keep me occupied.
Conclusion: One of the best chew toys you can get a puppy in my opinion! They last forever and they accomplish the job.
